At the Central Dakota Humane Society we provide comfort and care for our community's unwanted animals. We offer many other services too, for pets and their people and even for people without pets. To do this, we rely on the support of people like you.

Looking For More Ways to Help?

Here are five more ways to help CDHS:

• Canisters: Watch for CDHS canisters around Bismarck-Mandan. All proceeds go directly to our shelter animals' daily needs.
• Honors: Give to CDHS in the names of friends, family and business associates in honor of special occasions or everyday celebrations. They will receive an acknowledgement from us and the priceless knowledge that your donation helped an animal find a home.
• Memorials: Remember a departed person or pet with a CDHS memorial gift or Memorial Paw Print. Both are thoughtful ways to express your sympathy as well as offer love, care and a second chance to homeless animals in our community.
• Recycling: Collect aluminum cans and recycle for the shelter. There is a bin at CDHS where you can drop off your cans or you can take them to Gerdau Ameristeel (formerly Porter Brothers). Simply inform them that the proceeds go to CDHS. They send a check each month for all the cans recycled in the name of CDHS. Gerdau Ameristeel also purchases all metal, cars, fencing, cabinets, etc. and the proceeds can all be donated to  CDHS.
• We Care Program: Shop at Central Market and ask for "We Care" stamps on receipts. Bring or mail receipts to the shelter and CDHS can redeem them for 1 percent of the total. It's a simple way to help make a difference in the lives of needy animals.
