meet the pets news & events how to help adoption needs list about us

Just wanted to let you know that we are happy to announce that Thomas is no longer needing to be in the kennel during the day. We've left him out for 15-30 minutes at a time and he's done well. Yesterday, w/ the bad weather, I decided I'd rather clean up a mess than have him locked in a kennel all day if I couldn't make it home to let him out on my lunch. He did great! I did make it home, and he was laying on the couch w/ one of the cats. :)

He is a wonderful, loving, bouncy, happy dog!

Took him to my dad's ranch in Beach for Thanksgiving...everyone loved him. He was giving "kisses" to everyone. He stood his ground w/ my dad's dog and my sisters 2 dogs...let them know his boundaries, but there were no fights.

He's finally finding his voice and realizing this is HIS home and he barked at a stray dog running through our yard last night. :)

Thank you again for all you do in bringing animals that have had less than perfect lives to people who can give them all the good things they deserve, namely love & security.

Thomas gives us every bit and more back. He is a gem!! We feel very lucky we get to have him in our lives!

Update - 5/30/2014

We are still amazed by Thomas (Tomas)!!  He is happy and friendly and loves going out and running around in the backyard and out at the lake. I can't believe it's already been 8 months since we adopted him. On the other hand I cant believe its only been 8 months since we adopted him, he's such a major part of the family! We are truly blessed to have him in our lives!

Thanks again for all your great work CDHS!!!
