Central Dakota Humane Society has been doing great things for pets and people in the Bismarck-Mandan and the central North Dakota area for more than 60 years.
In addition to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming homeless pets, we provide a place for volunteers to help in the community.
We educate about proper pet care, our organization's mission, and the importance of volunteerism through school visits, shelter tours, and service group presentations.
We fund our good work through donations, memberships, fundraisers, events, and grant writing. We encourage all pet owners and pet lovers to honor their own pets by giving back and donating to CDHS, as we continue doing great things for pets and people.

Join us for an evening of fun, food, frolic, and walking the dog! So much to do - including the Shaggy Shuffle walk and Bark in the Park! Bark in the Park includes agility demos with your dog, treat tossing photo booth (photos of your dog catching a treat), nail trimming and teeth brushing, dog training Q & A, Mabel's All Day food truck, pet-related vendors of all kinds, cash raffle prize drawing, and to top it off - our annual Shaggy Shuffle Walk to raise funds for CDHS pets in need.
The more funds you donate and/or raise, the greater the prizes. We start out with a custom pup cup and treat for your dog, with additional prizes including a Hydroflask, t-shirt, and a KT Animal Supply gift card. You also have the opportunity to sponsor a CDHS pet and proudly display the pet you sponsored as you walk.
