CDHS Staff and Friends,
I wanted to send a quick note and give you an update on Eleanor, she has been with us just about 2 weeks and is doing great!
Eleanor was a bit timid when we got her home and the first few days she was startled very easily but within the first week she settled in to her new home.
We were told she was not potty trained and she did have a few accidents the first couple of days but quickly figured out what she needed to do, she has been accident free for over a week and a half! We have a lot of stairs in our home and it was clear she has never had to negotiate stairs before, for about a week or so she would go up the stairs but wouldn’t go down. She is now very comfortable going up and down the stairs!
From our first visit with Eleanor it was clear to us that she would fit very well with our family and we were right, she loves to sit on the sofa and cuddle, she loves to sleep right next to someone at night. She has adjusted really well, she is just such a sweet little dog, we love her! Attached is a photo of her in her new sweater she doesn’t like to be outside in the cold and her sweater helps!
Thank you for taking such good care of her while she was with you, she came to you a sick, scared, neglected little dog. She is now a health happy member of our family. The staff and volunteers are amazing! Thank you for all that you do for all the pets!!
